Hello, I’m Dan Gauthier!
Welcome to my personal site where I share thoughts on various topics like web development, technology, app development, and more. I’m a software engineer with a passion for creating innovative apps like Today I Am, Meal37, TextTime, and Life Badger.
I work as a software engineer, doing research in machine learning (ML) threat mitigation and product containerization. After hours, my passion shifts to developing iOS applications with SwiftUI. I’m really into creating apps that help people organize their day. It’s exciting to incorporate the latest features of SwiftUI and iOS to make my apps not only functional but also innovative and user-friendly. I enjoy the challenge of keeping up with Apple’s latest additions.
I have a deep-seated need for continuous learning. One of my particular themes of interest lies in the study of transfers - the movement and exchange of data, money, people, electricity, and water. Each of these offers a wealth of knowledge and complexity that fascinates me. The intricacies of how information and resources are transferred and managed are not only intellectually stimulating but also have practical implications in our everyday lives.
Stay tuned for more updates and insights from my journey in tech and beyond!
My Mission
I’m all about making machine learning systems safer and deploying software more smoothly. I love creating iOS apps with SwiftUI that help people get organized and make the most out of their day. I’m always on the lookout for new things to learn and ways to improve, whether it’s in my job or personal projects.
My Vision
I see a future where tech makes life easier and more secure for everyone. I want to help build a world where machine learning is safe, software deployment is fun, and iOS apps are essential tools for everyday life. I’m fascinated by how data moves around, and I want to use that knowledge to make everything more connected and efficient.
